Chart notes
WINNING BIG got bumped off stride by FAST AS FAST CAN B at the start but recovered well, was unable to join the early fray despite the efforts of the rider, was kept in a drive from the start, came four wide into the stretch and appeared to stall while on the wrong lead, then got straightened out, found best stride and finished well down the middle of the track gain the victory. ARTETA settled into stride to the turn, then was sent after the leaders from the three furlong pole, loomed a big threat in the stretch, gained the lead yards from the finish but could not fend off the winner. QUINTECENTS was off a step slow then settled mid-pack, launched a three wide bid on the turn, came five wide into the stretch then altered course to the inside rail for the stretch run, finished fast under steady handling and urging but was too late. BENNIGAN raced at the head of the tracking group to the turn, held position through the turn but was not making up ground on the leaders, was kept to task down the stretch but could not find the winning kick. REMI OR NOT broke out and while being hustled bumped MOGOLIAN FRONT at the break then bumped HOT CAKE a few strides later, committed to the lead from the outset and was joined before a furlong by WAITINGATTHEBAR on the outside, had the lead passing the furlong maker but weakened in the final yards and was passed by several on the inside and outside. MONGOLIAN FROST bumped at the start, then acked any early speed and fell behind the early pace, started to run on some from the half mile marker, came four wide into the stretch and mildly improved. WAITINGATTHEBAR broke well then pulled away from the rest with REMI OR NOT, dueled through the turn cutting out rapid splits then tired in upper stretch. HOT CAKE broke a step slow then was hustled to try and challenge the leaders, was unable to contest, struggled to keep up through the turn and had little to offer in the stretch. FAST AS FAST CAN B came out after the break and bumped into the back end of WINNING BIG, saved ground while trailing the field to the turn, then went six wide into the stretch and was unable to mount a rally.
