Chart notes
SAMMY DANSEUR JR. brushed at the start, racing in the back, made a steady gain, rallied, four wide down the home stretch and got up in time. SKIPPA vied for the early lead, forwardly placed throughout, dueling with EMPIRE KID, took the advantage down the stretch, but couldn't hold off the winner for the win. EMPIRE KID dueled on the front end, saved ground and lacked a late kick. SAMURAI'S GRANDSON pressed the early pace, raced close throughout, came down the lane wide and finished evenly. ADIOS CARLOS raced within contention, saved ground, faded and went to the wire evenly. BACK BAYOU broke in, brushed rival, raced near the back in the beginning, made a mild bid and retreated. SUNSET WAR void of early speed and was never close.
