Chart notes
SHAKE THE FROST broke a step tardy from the gate, raced up between rivals in tight quarters on the first turn to take the lead onto the backstretch, opened a clear lead while well rated to midway on the far turn, responded when called upon to kick away in upper stretch and was never threatened in the lane. REIGNING DREAM was hard held on the lead through the first turn, settled off the pace to stalk down the backside, lost position on the far turn and came on again in the lane to gain the place. IRONCLAD ALIBI reserved off the pace for the first half mile, rushed up the inside into the final bend to loom on the turn and flattened out in the stretch unable to sustain the bid. ORFANO trailed to the far turn, raced along the rail saving ground to no avail and was never a threat. COLOR BEARER tracked the leaders down the backside and came up empty on the final bend.
