Chart notes
STREET HUMOR , taken to the inner rail entering the first turn, eased out to the two path entering the backstretch, chased the pace, gained a short lead in mid stretch then drove clear late. SYNTACTIC , clear entering the backstretch , saved ground around the far turn, failed to hold off the winner but willingly held the place. CLEAR THE COAST lacked speed, advanced four deep leaving the backstretch and flattened out. ECHO CANYON , three wide the first turn chased the pace in the two path between horses entering the far turn, swung wide in upper stretch and weakened. BIG STICK , wide entering the backstretch, stayed along the inner rail leaving the far turn and came up empty. WITHOUT EQUAL , rank entering the first turn, swung very wide turning for home and lacked a rally.
