Chart notes
GRUBAUER antsy in the gate, sped clear up the backstretch, opened up in the three path on the turn without being asked, continued well clear into the final furlong, flagged with the crop midstretch and won easily under hand urging in the last sixteenth. HARCYN was closest in pursuit from outside early on, chased four wide into the turn, moved into the two path around the bend, drifted out in the lane and had to settle for second best. RUNKERRY tracked wide up the backstretch, entered the turn in the sixth path, fell out of range while moving into the four path and lacked a rally in the lane. LMLOOKNFORMISCHIEF antsy in the gate, got crowded between rivals early, lost ground six then five wide on the turn, drifted in the lane and failed to respond. MELANIE'S TIGER was off very slow to begin and trailed in the opening stages, traveled along the rail into the turn then shifted to the two path quickly, drifted out in upper stretch and could not make an impact. AMERICAN EMPIRE dropped back off the pace, entered the lane in the two path then found the rail quickly, saved ground to the stretch and was never a factor.
