Chart notes
I'M WIDE AWAKE broke alertly, soon cleared, extended that advantage through the turn and upper stretch toward the inside, enough left late to withstand the runner up while under firm handling. LUNAR MODULE back off the pace just off the rail, moved to the inside midway on the turn, angled out between horses turning for home, roused, finished with good energy to be getting to the winner. ETERNALLY GRATEFUL last away, trailed up the backstretch, advanced late turn, blocked in some traffic, idled, split foes upper stretch, also finished well late to be closing the gap on the winner. BRITERDAYZAHEAD behind the early pace while outside, three wide through the turn, chased the winner into the stretch, weakened to lose some position late. SAMURAI PRINCE went one paced throughout while racing three to four wide, lacked closing kick. SHOW TIME in the second flight while along the inside, faded down the lane. RINGSIDE chased early in heading up the second flight off the inside and between horses, floated out three wide turning for home, gave way in the run to the wire.
