Chart notes
G T FIVE HUNDRED was hustled to the front then quickly sped clear, dictated terms while inside on the turn, responded well when set down in upper stretch, drew off under one pop of a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker, widened while given one pop of a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole, raced under a solid hand-ride into the final seventy yards then was eased up while much the best. DEVIL'S CAY tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the three path on the turn, dropped to the two path into upper stretch and safely secured the place while no match for the winner. CONCORDE SPIRIT raced between foes early, dropped back near the five-eighths pole, raced inside under urging for most of the turn then shifted to the two path, came out to the five path into upper stretch then drifted out and lacked the needed response while clear for third. HATCH was bumped soundly in the hindquarters at the start then hustled, raced just off the pace, chased in the two path on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and came up empty. QUICK HAMMER stumbled badly twice at the start and unseated the rider then was walked off after being apprehended by an outrider.
