Chart notes
TOWNER TOO broke slowly, recovered to track from the three path, sustained gradual progress on the clear leader through midstretch, ranged up to bid at the sixteenth pole and edged clear. SHOOT THE NICKEL saved ground off of the pace, advanced to edge show in midstretch, stayed on to offer a rail bid for place in the closing stages and gained that position in the shadow of the wire. CARAMBASO set the pace along the inside, built a clear margin while in hand around the turn, held sway through midstretch, but was collared by an outer bidder at the sixteenth pole, yielded and lost place to an inner bidder late. ENDRICK bumped with an outer rival soon after the start, trailed along the inside, picked up stride while shifting outwardly in upper stretch and rallied willingly. FACE THE FUTURE hopped slightly while off slow before bumping with an inner rival at the start, raced off of the pace in the five path, gained ground four wide around the turn, but flattened out in upper stretch. GUNNER GLACKEN pressed two wide, chased the leader while failing to sustain pressure around the turn then faded between horses entering the lane. CABO MISCHIEF raced off of the pace in the four to three path, floated to the five path entering the lane and faded.
