Chart notes
ROYAL LAUGHTER in the second flight while four wide into the first turn, stalked in the run up the backstretch, advanced to challenged three wide through the second bend, put a head in front turning for home, edged clear late under steady handling. EVOCATION in the second flight into the first turn while three wide, came in a bit to tighten up a couple of rivals midway on that bend, tracked in the run up the backstretch, moved a bit closer while three wide again late in the final turn, could not get to the winner through the lane while getting up late for the second spot. BLUE EMBER took command soon after the start, set the pace inside, responded when the winner challenged turning for home after salting away the other speed just before, dueled past the furlong marker, proved stubborn until late, caught in the final strides for the place. GRACE GIVEN back off the pace two off the rail into the first turn, steadied when in tight midway on that turn, fell back, moved out, four wide late in the second bend, lacked a closing punch. BABE IN THE WOODS broke on top, dueled up front in the two path, first to blink second turn. CRYSTAL SYMPHONY in the second group inside, steadied into the first turn in some traffic, again just before a quarter when put in tight, fell back, three wide second turn, failed to muster a rally.
