Chart notes
BEAU'S CHARM displayed sharp speed and eagerly cleared in the opening furlong, set a rated pace towards the inside, responded when given his cue in upper stretch, kept on under a mild right handed ask heading towards the sixteenth pole then held firm under a steady hand ride. BROWNSTONE , urged along to the inside of rivals heading to the turn, saved ground with pursuit into the stretch, edged up soon after, eased out late and finished gamely to bridge the gap. G G GILLEY had speed then rated off the winner to stalk, came two to three wide for the drive, gave willing chase past mid stretch then was out finished for the place in the final yards. REBELLIOUS RED broke a step slow and trailed around the turn, saved ground through the drive, moved up inside runners past mid stretch but lacked a serious finish. KLINKERBRICK , four to five wide, lacked a rally. GONZAGA had speed then chased outside a rival, came three to four wide for the drive and faded. LIGHT DRAGOON , in a bit close at the break, steadied when in close between runners into the turn, came four wide for the drive but lacked a punch.
