Chart notes
COMMERCE COMET showed speed on the inside of a rival then moved clear outside the five-eighths pole, was asked in the two path on the turn, dropped to the rail late on that bend, responded well when put to the crop inside the three-sixteenths pole and held under steady urging. NATURAL HARBOR was hustled from the gate, moved up under urging then chased the pace, saved ground for most of the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole, pursued the winner under a drive in the stretch and willingly earned the place. LEGAL DEAL was hustled from the gate then urged along off the pace, moved out near the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the five path, turned into the stretch in the six path and kept on willingly to get the show. ROYAL TRYST dropped back after the start then fell well behind under urging, moved from the three path to the two path early on the turn, swung out into upper stretch, reached the seven path near the three-sixteenths pole and failed to threaten. FROMANOTHAMUTHA chased the pace, dropped back some near the five-eighths pole, traveled around the turn in the two then three path, turned into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response. CELESTIAL GLAZE settled on the outside, moved closer with five furlongs to run, chased in the four path on the turn and weakened. SCREAMING UNCLE was hustled from the gate, showed speed then chased the pace, pursued the winner in the three path on the turn and tired.
