Chart notes
A NEW PEACE set a well rated pace on a clear, comfortable lead, repelled the challenge of the runner up turning for home and held that one safe the length of the lane. LUBU stalked the winner the entire way, made a bid nearing the quarter pole, failed to pass the winner and kept-on willingly as second best. SACRED CONNECTION reserved off the pace for the first five-eighths, made a steady gain on the turn, split rivals in upper stretch from four wide and closed well belatedly as best of the rest. CHESS NOT CHECKERS tracked the leaders through the far turn in striking position, angled to the inside cutting the corner turning for home to loom in upper stretch and failed to sustain the bid finishing evenly. ELIKA raced wide into the first turn, continued to chase from wide throughout and failed to menace at any time. TIMELY SECRET was well palce while racing five wide down the backside and lacked a response when called upon at the top of the lane. SWEET SERENADE trailed early and was never a threat. SHEWEARSMYRING raced mid-pack to the backside, dropped to the rear of the field nearing the half mile pole and was not a factor.
