Chart notes
RIDE UP was hustled to the front then sped clear, dropped from the three path to the two path early on the turn, dictated terms going around that bend, moved to the rail near the five-sixteenths pole then was roused outside the quarter-pole, responded well when put to a left-handed crop inside the three-sixteenths pole, drifted out some in the final furlong and held well under strong urging. CONNIVING broke out and bumped with an opponent, moved in then was well placed down the backstretch, chased inside to the two path on the turn, pursued the winner under a drive in the stretch and was second best. SOLO'S FURY was forwardly placed on the outside, chased in the five then four path on the turn, drifted out some in upper stretch and lacked the needed kick while able to get the show. MACKVILLE was bumped at the start, raced just off the pace, chased in the four then three path on the turn, dropped back between horses in upper stretch and weakened. BIG RICH broke a step slow, was urged along towards the rear, saved ground on the turn and lacked the needed response. KING FREUD was hustled from the gate then urged along towards the rear, raced in the three path on the turn, dropped briefly to the two path before moving back to the three path later on that bend, turned into the stretch in the four path and failed to respond. BASIC TRUTH settled on the outside, was roused near the seven-sixteenths pole, raced in the four then three path on the turn and faltered.
