Chart notes
ENGLISH CHALLENGE vied for the early lead, saved ground around the final turn, drove clear and finished well. ALL WEST pressed the pace, saved ground around the second turn, proved no match for the winner, but was best of others. CRIMSON STORM pressed the pace in the beginning, steadied early, getting in tight quarters, moved up on the outside around the final turn, made a wide gain, but couldn't get to the top two. BIRTHDAY PARTY lacked early speed, came around the first turn on the outside, moved up, challenged for the lead at the 3/4 pole and lacked a finish. FORT BONZ pressed the pace, faded on the inside and was no threat late. SNIVELING void of early speed and was never close. STATE OF THE UNION raced within contention, made a bid and dropped back. IMPLICATOR dueled on the front end and made a steady retreat.
