Chart notes

PINK DINGHY off to a dream start, dictated the pace down the backside and around the far turn, maintained a slim advantage inside the sixteenth pole, held firm through the wire under strong handling. LIEUTENANT BROWN ground saving trip from off the pace into the far turn, steadied then waited when boxed in nearing the quarter pole, full of energy and racing on the wrong lead shifted off the inside to bid between runners leaving the sixteenth pole, finally swapped over to the correct lead late, finished gamely through the wire. STORMIN ROCKET coaxed away from the gate to race three wide and up close leaving the first turn, under urging leaving the quarter pole, could not match strides with the top pair turning for home, chased on settled third. YANGARRA tracked the pace from the inside into the far turn, quickened and shifted out three wide leaving the furlong marker, flattened out through the final sixteenth. STROLLINGINTHEWIND raced off the pace and along the inside, lacked speed around the far turn, came up empty late. CASSIUS tracked the pace mid pack and three deep into the far turn, roused on outside leaving the quarter pole, weakened through the lane.
