Chart notes
ST. JUDE , unhurried off the duel for a half mile, moved to the three path leaving the turn, drifted out in upper stretch, took command near the eighth pole and drew off under steady handling. BEAVER STATE showed speed near the inner rail, dueled to mid stretch and finished gamely while no match for the winner. SWIFTY DEVIL disputed the pace outside BEAVER STATE and faded the final furlong. CATHEDRAL BEACH stumbled leaving the starting gate, stayed along the inner rail around the turn and was not a factor. BOYS OF SUMMER , off last, swung outside near the five eighths pole and was not a factor.
