Chart notes
SPIKEZONE broke outward at the start, showed speed and moved to the front, dropped in near the eleven-sixteenths pole and shut-off a rival, went around the turn in the two path while inside of the runner-up, was given his cue just inside the five-sixteenths pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, shook clear inside the furlong marker and drew away under strong urging. SURVEILLANCE stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid leaving the backstretch, vied in the three path on the turn, was roused coming to the quarter-pole, battled outside the winner under a drive into the final furlong then proved no match while clear for the place. EL GRANDE O was hustled from the gate, raced just off the early lead, was shut-off by the winner near the eleven-sixteenths pole, bumped with a foe and steadied outside the five-eighths pole then lost position, was roused in the two then three path on the turn and lacked the needed response while clear for the show. TWENTY FOUR MAMBA was restless in the gate, angled out near the eleven-sixteenths pole then moved to the outside of the field with five furlongs to run, chased in the four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and tired. HE'SMYHONEYBADGER chased the early pace, bumped with a rival outside the five-eighths pole, saved ground on the turn and came up empty.
