Chart notes

CAJUN GEM prominent early, stalked the pace three wide to the turn, vied for the lead into the bend then took command nearing the quarter marker, drifted to the four path into upper stretch, held sway to the furlong marker then kept to task under firm urging in deep stretch. LASER SHARP broke slowly and was allowed to settle early on, advanced three wide and between runners along the turn, bid between rivals into the stretch, could not make headway on the winner into the final sixteenth and stayed on late to be second best. SAN COSTANTINO tracked the early pace from the second flight and between rivals, slipped to the rail and saved ground into the turn, tipped two wide for the drive, ran evenly to mid-stretch, could not match strides with the top pair late then held well in deep stretch for the show. BIG LOUIE chased the early pace from the outside, loomed four wide nearing the quarter marker, chased then was outkicked into the stretch, could not find the needed late response and just missed for the show honors. DIVINE LEADER settled off of the early pace while never far back, advanced outside of rivals along the turn, chased six wide into the stretch and continued his bid to mid-stretch, could not sustain his run to the final sixteenth and flattened out. OSPREY took back off of the early pace, chased four then three wide into the turn, made a steady advance to the stretch then could not muster the needed late response. GUAIO hopped at the start and was off slowly, allowed to settle in the early going, advanced outside of rivals along the turn, swung seven wide for the drive and advanced into the stretch, could not sustain his run to the final sixteenth and weakened late. CROCODILEHUNTER disputed the early pace from inside of runners, saved ground to the turn then pressed the pace to the quarter marker, battled into the stretch, could not find more into the final furlong then gave way. PARALEGAL was squeezed at the start and off slowly, lacked early speed and saved ground into the turn, gained ground into the stretch, could not sustain that run late and failed to threaten. SNOWNAME showed good early speed and assumed command away from the start, set a pressured pace to the turn, lost position into the bend then faded in the stretch. MACHISMO tracked the early pace, saved ground to the turn, steadied hard midway through the bend then tired.
