Chart notes
HORSE DOCTOR attended the pace four deep, moved to a slim lead soon into the stretch while emerging in a duel outside MAD LUTHER, responded to stout right handed asking in deep stretch and edged clear at the wire. MAD LUTHER rated just off the trio of leaders then bid three wide between runners near the half, dueled to the inside of the winner from the head of the lane to deep stretch then gave way grudgingly in a sharp effort. HANDSOME HARRY gained a slim early lead while two wide and between foes, fought into and around the turn, could not go with the top pair nearing mid stretch but continued with effort to the wire. DENNARD tracked the embattled quartet of leaders while saving ground, took closer order mid turn then idled for a stride or two, swung out five wide into the lane but failed to seriously kick on. HOOPERDRIVESTHBOAT bobbled slightly at the break, recovered and disputed the pace to the inside of a trio of rivals, failed to go on near mid stretch and weakened.
