UNION SUIT was hustled to the front then showed the way off the inside, dropped to the rail early on the turn, was asked with three furlongs to run after being challenged by the runner-up, shook off that foe outside the quarter-pole, responded well when put to the crop in upper stretch, was challenged again by the runner-up in the final sixteenth and held under a strong hand-ride late. KAREN'S HONOR showed speed then tracked the pace on the outside, moved from the three path to the two path early on the turn, made a bid outside the three-eighths pole, lost touch with the winner under urging nearing the quarter-pole, turned into the stretch in the three path while under the crop, kept on in pursuit into the final furlong, gained into the final sixteenth but missed while clear for the place. CARBON broke out then was hustled, settled on the outside, moved in while getting closer inside the five-eighths pole, chased in the two path for most of the turn then shifted to the three path, was driven into the stretch in the four path, swapped back to her inside lead coming to the furlong marker and lacked the needed kick while well clear for the show. MITI FAST FLOWER settled off the pace, moved in near the five-eighths pole, dropped back and fell to the rear late on the backstretch, moved out into the turn, rounded that bend in the three then four path, turned into the stretch in the five path and came up empty. LADY LAOBAN moved out early, settled towards the rear, dropped back in before the five-eighths pole, was urged along late on the backstretch, saved ground for most of the turn then shifted to the three path and failed to respond.
