Chart notes
HOIST THE GOLD tracked along the inside, shifted outside of the top pair with three furlongs to go, ranged up to bid in the four path entering the lane, drove clear in upper stretch and held sway late. ARRO SMASH laid off of the pace in the two path, shifted four wide in upper stretch, changed leads while edging place at the furlong grounds, then closed in on the clear leader while holding that position from an inner counterpart. HAPPY AMERICAN broke a step slow, saved ground while trailing, advanced while shifting three wide and between horses into midstretch, bid for place in the process but was fended off while gaining ground on the leader. MACHINE GUN MAN prompted outside of the leader, bid along with an outer rival entering the lane but gave way while hanging on his left lead. MR FILLIP broke outwardly, chased forwardly three to four wide, floated out to the five path entering the lane and yielded. GUNNER BAY pursued from the four to three path into the turn and failed to factor. UNCASHED showed the way along the inside, but got headed by an outer pair of bidders entering the lane and weakened.
