DIRECT APPEAL settled in just behind the vying leaders for the run into the far turn, waited till nearing the furlong marker to make his move, quickly shifted out and bumped outside rival off stride, continued on and captured the leaders in upper stretch, kicked away late under strong handling. BID ON BLUE clean start along the inside around the first turn, set a pressured pace into the second bend, vied inside turning for home, brushed with outside rival in upper stretch, kicked away from first challenger, battled on inside new rival finished gamely to the wire. BOLD ROCK stalked the leader leaving the first turn, vied outside that foe around the second bend and into the lane, under pressure brushed with inside rival in upper stretch, flattened out through the final sixteenth, held on for the show. LOVE IS WICKED tracked the pace from just off the rail into the fart turn, quickened the tempo leaving the quarter pole, taken up sharply near the furlong marker, recovered raced evenly through the final sixteenth. CANO'S BABY off to a slow start, saved ground from off the pace around the far turn, had no late punch. BIG BAD BRASS tracked the leaders three wide around the first turn, roused on three deep contested the pace leaving the quarter pole, bumped off stride nearing the furlong marker faded to the wire. There was a jockey's objection in this race the rider of LOVE IS WICKED claimed foul against the rider of DIRECT APPEAL for interference near the eighth pole, after the stewards review DIRECT APPLED was disqualified and placed last.
