Chart notes
MT. ZEROR showed speed along the inner rail on the first turn, drifted out entering the backstretch, was challenged on his inside by CLEAR THE COAST leaving the backstretch, dueled with that one around the far turn, then asserted himself approaching the eighth pole and drew away while kept to his business. CLEAR THE COAST , rank behind the winner mid way on the first turn, had room along the inner rail down the backstretch, bid for the lead, dueled the far turn and weakened the final furlong. WITHOUT EQUAL , four wide the first turn, chased the pace outside horses, circled the far turn five deep and weakened. SYNTACTIC , three wide the first turn, chased the pace down the backstretch, raced in the four path the far turn and gave way approaching the stretch. MOESAHANDFUL chased the pace outside the winner around the first turn, remained in contention on the backstretch and faltered on the far turn.
