Chart notes
ICE ROAD was ridden along off the pace, traveled around the turn in the four path, rallied into the stretch, closed well to make a bid near the three-sixteenths pole, fought with ICE TIME into the final sixteenth then two foes late and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. BROOKLYN STRONG was hustled from the gate, contested the pace with multiple foes, moved from the four path to the three path while dropping back near the seven-sixteenths pole, chased through the turn and into upper stretch, gained into the final furlong, made a bid inside of two opponents in the final sixteenth and just missed while narrowly able to get the place. ICE TIME settled on the outside, was roused in the five path on the turn, rallied into the stretch, closed well to make a bid near the three-sixteenths pole, battled outside of multiple rivals in the final furlong, raced under a bit of extra right-rein pressure late and just missed while clear for the show. ACTIVE DUTY disputed the pace, raced tightly between foes from the five-eighths pole into the turn, dropped behind MASTERWORK while in the three then two path going around that bend, re-bid on the inside of the aforementioned rival in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened. MASTERWORK tossed his head a bit at the start but broke with the field, disputed the pace on the outside, inched to a solo lead while moving from the five path to the three path on the turn, lost the advantage outside the furlong marker and tired. INDIANQUEST broke out at the start, was urged along just off the pace, moved up to press the pace on the inside of rivals with five furlongs to run, dropped back along the rail on the turn and capitulated. STEADY PROGRESS was well placed down the backstretch, dropped back while inside to the two path on the turn and had nothing left. WINE RESPONSIBLY was hustled from the gate, showed speed then pressed the pace, dropped back late on the backstretch, fell to the rear in the two to three path on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and faltered.
