MESA SPIRIT led early on as an inner rival applied mild pressure, cleared off when that one faltered into the turn, showed the way in hand in the two path around the turn, came under light urging to widen in upper stretch, responded readily and drew off under little to no urging. JUST SAY WHEN laid off of the pace along the inside, moved to the three path around the turn, entered the lane in the five path, tipped out to the seven path while building momentum entering the final furlong and ran on to gain place in the final sixteenth. ON YOUR MARK stalked forwardly in the three path, but checked slightly between horses when an inner foe bore slightly into the turn, inched place entering the lane, chased the clear leader while proving no match, but lost place in the late stages. SHUT UP MAN pursued from midpack along the inside, then in the two path around the turn, chased between horses into midstretch and lacked a bid. ATRAS leaned outwardly at the start, raced off of the pace in the four path, but was carried wide by a troubled inner rival entering the turn, recovered to pursued in the five path around the turn, crept closer fanning to the six path into the lane and flattened out. SAINT CHARLES tracked in the four path, got brushed by an inner rival into the turn, chased turning for home and yielded between horses. PRINCE LANCELOT (GB) broke a step slow, saved ground while trailing, moved to the three path in upper stretch and failed to factor. APPEAL DENIED pressed inside of the leader early on, but failed to sustain pressure while attempting to bear out entering the turn, recovered to chase along the inside turning for home then faded. WE MISS ARLINGTON tracked two wide, but steadied behind brushing rivals into the turn, bore outside of them and carried an outer rival wider in the aftermath, faltered between horses and was outrun thereafter.
