VERACRUZIN bumped with an outer rival leaving the gate, stalked four wide before tucking two wide to pursue between horses leaving the first turn, awaited racing room behind the leaders turning for home, shifted out five wide entering the lane, sustained gradual progress to bid outside of the new leader at the sixteenth pole, but got herded outwardly by that one through the late stages and took contact while missing at the wire. IMPECCABILITY laid off of the pace along the inside, took the far turn in the three path, pursued in the four path in upper stretch, ran on advancing between horses into the final furlong, shifted in before edging show in the final sixteenth and needed more to bid inside of the top pair. STAR READY brushed with an outer rival leaving the gate, vied along the inside, got outkicked by an outer pair of bidders turning for home yet kept on willingly thereafter. HEXCEL tracked whlie tucking to the inside into the first turn, took the far turn in the three path before swinging six wide into the lane, then pursued one paced. SUMMER IN AIKEN brushed with an inner foe at the start, vied two wide, got outkicked by an outer pair at the five sixteenths pole, chased between horses through upper stretch and yielded. CARTHAGE CAJUN pressed three deep, bid along with an outer rival turning for home, vied through upper stretch but faded between horses at the furlong grounds. REGIMENTAL raced at the rear in the three path and failed to factor. STONE ALLIANCE raced off of the pace in the three path, got hung in the five path around the far turn and tired. COOKN WIT CATMAN bumped with an inner foe at the start, pursued from midpack in the four path and faded between horses turning for home. THE RIDER OF VERACRUZIN CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST EL PERFERCTO ALLEGING INTERFERENCE IN DEEP STRETCH. FOLLOWING THE OBJECTION, AS WELL AS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REVIEWING THE SAME INFRACTION, EL PERFECTO WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED SECOND.
