Chart notes
PANAGIOTIS stayed along the inner rail disputing the pace, went clear entering the stretch then was under brisk urging in the drive. SMUGGLER'S GOLD stalked the pace along the inner rail, moved to the three path leaving the turn and had a mild gain. CHRISTMAS SPIRIT circled the turn three deep, was fanned four wide entering the stretch and lacked the necessary rally. KNUCKER PUNK broke awkwardly, failed to be a threat and showed some late interest. FIRMANTOWN dueled outside the winner, failed to keep up leaving the turn, drifted to the inner rail near the quarter pole and gave way. CODY PASS unseated his rider when stumbling at the start. There was a stewards' inquiry concerning the start but no action was taken.
