Chart notes
YINZER sped clear in the two path, padded his margin along the inside down the backstretch, remained in hand as a pursuing MORLOCK closed in around the far turn, responded when set down in upper stretch and held sway under a drive. MORLOCK stalked the clear leader from the three to two path, crept closer into and around the far turn to be within striking range entering the lane, but only managed to chase that one thereafter and was kept at bay. ONLY IN AMERICA laid off of the pace in the two path, chased in the four to five path into the lane and moved up to edge show in the late stages. CROMWELL tracked along the inside, chased around the far turn, lacked a bid and lost show to an outer bidder late. SPURGEON was slow into stride, lacked speed along the inside, improved two wide and between horses at the five sixteenths pole then stayed on willingly. COFFEE TALK pursued from midpack two wide and between horses, chased around the far turn, lacked a bid and yielded. CLASSIC MAC broke multiple lengths slow, trailed in the four path, improved four deep at the five sixteenths pole, but made little impact thereafter. DATE THE PRINCE saved ground off of the pace and tired. OLIVERIO chased from midpack in the four path, but faded after a half mile, wilted around the far turn and was eased through the lane.
