Chart notes
OVER THE OCEAN cleared quickly and crossed over, raced keenly when taken in hand, vied inside a pair of rivals into the first turn, took control around the bend, dueled inside RESEMBLANCE then inched ahead past the half-mile pole, put that rival away at the five-sixteenths pole and held well under right handed urging. GOODFELLA (IRE) vied four deep into the first turn then took a stalking position in the three path outside a rival, chased two then three wide around the far turn, took aim at the leader in the final furlong, finished well to gain second but lacked the needed late punch to overtake the winner. SUPREME COAST unhurried in the beginning and moved inside racing at the back, tipped two wide around the first turn, raced in hand outside a rival up the backstretch, closed in while easing out to the four path on the far turn, finished willingly within striking distance of the leader down the stretch but needed to find more late. RESEMBLANCE showed early speed three deep between into the first turn then moved to the two path, dueled outside OVER THE OCEAN to the far turn, yielded to that rival at the five-sixteenths pole, stayed within range into the final furlong and weakened late. BOUND TO SUCCEED settled inside, steadied behind NOBEL GARY past the five-eighths pole, continued along the fence into the far turn, steadied once more and got shuffled behind NOBEL GARY again past the three-eighths pole, trailed near the fence into the lane, moved out and failed to menace. NOBEL GARY pulled behind OVER THE OCEAN early then shifted out and went up to vie for the between rivals into the first turn, moved back a bit to a stalking position and started to pull again around the bend, continued to fight the rider early on the backstretch, saved ground to the stretch and weakened.
