Chart notes
MAGNUM FORCE outbroke trouble to show the way into and through the first turn, extended that advantage up the backstretch, responded when confronted into the stretch, salted that foe away late to be clear again at the wire. MULA also away well, chased the winner for six furlongs, engaged that one front the outside when straightened for home, dueled, could not keep up late, well clear of the others. WE NEED A FAVOR pulled while well back in some traffic first turn, moved closer along the inside second turn, lacked room in additional traffic with a quarter remaining, steered out, rallied for the show while not a threat to the top pair. PRIMO CANARY off a step slow, moved up to be four wide in mid pack first turn, remained outside, four wide again through most of the final bend, chased the top two past the furlong marker, also proved no match for those rivals, outkicked late for the third spot. CUTLASS KING forwardly placed while racing three wide, came up empty for the stretch run. HWY TWENTY RIDE settled off the pace toward the inside, rode the rail through the second bend, lacked a closing kick as well. DOWN THE ISLANDS roughed at the start when MALACHI veered out, settled off the pace toward the inside, in some traffic in the second bend, lacked a bid when clear. GO GO RO RO in the main body while racing off the inside, carried out by WE NEED A FAVOR turning for home, also remained back. MALACHI veered out at the break to bother a pair of outer rivals, was finished after a half. REV'S TOMB hesitated at the start, remained always back. SURFIN' M in tight when bumped at the start, fell back to trail after a quarter, far back into the stretch, jogged in.
