Chart notes
CANTARO settled at the rear while kept wide racing in the three to four path, fanned six wide advancing on the leaders turning for home, drifted in a bit in late stretch and drove past. GO OTTO GO chased from outside, edged closer on the turn, bid at the quarter pole taking a narrow lead, maintained a slight advantage till late and was just outfinished. EL PRINCIPITO switched out off the inside past the gap, moved forward between into the turn, was encouraged along between foes past the seven-sixteenths, faced mild traffic in upper stretch but soon found room yet again between runners, kicked on well but needed more. SAYBROOK moved forward outside in pursuit of the leaders four wide on the turn, was asked for more at the five-sixteenths, came out a bit further for the drive, was in slightly tight in deep stretch but nevertheless outkicked. INDIO MARA sped clear, set the pace near but just off the fence, was challenged and overtaken just past the quarter pole, fought on but was outkicked. GAVEL chased in behind, saved ground inside on the turn, lacked room in upper stretch, was not a late threat. EIGHTYSIXCHEVY chased briefly inside, failed to threaten.
