GEWURZTRAMINER behind the pace just off the inside, continued within striking distance backstretch, attempted to crept closer in traffic midway on the second turn, lacked room, steadied repeatedly, eased out to be four wide into the stretch, outside bid, dueled final furlong, proved narrowly best in determined fashion. MENA in mid pack and inside, closer second turn behind the winner, waited with that one in traffic into the stretch, challenged inside that same rival approaching midstretch, dueled to the wire, outkicked to miss. SILVER HEIST last away, remained unhurried, advanced in the two path late in the final bend, encountered some traffic as well, got through, briefly lodged a mild bid then proved no match for the top pair. PIKE PLACE devoid of speed in trailing for over five furlongs, slipped through a large opening to cut the corner and improve position, no real threat to the top three. DANCE SOME MO back off the pace and the inside, fanned six wide out of the turn to lose considerable ground, improved slightly while remaining widest down the lane. BOURBON'S FAULT in mid pack and off the rail early, four to five wide late in the final bend, between horses into the stretch, lacked the needed closing kick. MUMAYAZ prompted the pace off the inside, dueled the middle half, put a head in front turning for home, vied past the furlong marker then faltered. BEYOND BEST well back early, four wide through the second turn, made little impact through the lane in lacking a closing response. TALKLESSWORKMORE four wide in the first turn when forwardly placed, gave way far turn.
