GOT SOUL vied from inside then inched ahead around the first turn, cleared at the five-eighths pole, set all the pace to the stretch, carried a comfortable lead to midstretch and held safely late under urging. SABERTOOTH stalked two then three wide early, remained off the rail outside rivals into the far turn, tipped four wide at the quarter pole, finished willingly down the lane, drifted in and bothered SHAPOVAL late to gain second and closed the gap on the winner late. SHAPOVAL stalked from inside, got put tight on the first turn, stalked from inside to the stretch, moved off the fence in the lane, finished evenly in the furlong grounds and lost second when getting floated in by SABERTOOTH late. FIX IT QUICK traveled two then three wide off the pace, followed the same paths on the far turn, then improved position but failed to threaten. SANTA BARBARIAN vied three deep into the first turn then pressed from outside, stalked the pacesetter up the backstretch, started to weaken past the five-sixteenths pole and faded down the lane. SOGNO DI VINO pulled between rivals early vying for command, dropped back to a stalking position while continuing to pull on the clubhouse turn, chased two wide then along the fence on the far turn and could not rally when needed. SMOOTHWHSKYGOINDWN traveled in the two path well off the pace, lacked room behind a rival and steadied into the far turn along the inside, shifted to the two path into the clear, moved out in the stretch and improved position. BENNY'S PUZZLE off slow to begin, went three deep into the first turn, got bothered by inner rival and steadied a bit, angled down to the inside, steadied behind a rival at the five-eighths pole, saved ground around the far turn, moved off the fence and failed to make an impact. GIANT LUTHER settled inside, became rank and pulled badly causing the rider to take up on the first turn, moved out in the stretch and was never a factor. GLASS OF JAMESON raced up close three deep in hand, chased three then two wide around the far turn and weakened down the lane. MASTER JACQUES off slow in the beginning, reserved and tucked inside at the back, passed a pair of rivals from off the rail on the far turn but came up empty in the lane.
