Chart notes
DIRECT CAUSE hesitated at the break, with ease ranged up four wide to contest the pace around the bend, put to task leaving the furlong marker, kicked away under a steady drive, came home much the best. MARSALA chased inside and off the pace, angled out three deep turning into the lane, closed the gap willingly through the final sixteenth. MI CATRINA broke alertly took control leaving the chute, pressured by outside rival around the turn, chased on late settled in for the show. VIESTE slow start, raced off the pace and inside, rail bid leaving the eighth pole, flattened out through the wire. LUNA MARY chased between runners into the turn, lost ground off the rail around the bend, had no late kick. PRETTY CASTLE slow into stride, raced off the pace four deep into the turn, five wide upper, never threatened.
