SHOP LIFTING was hustled from the gate, moved to the lead inside the three-quarter pole, showed the way under pressure to her outside, shook clear along the rail on the turn, extended the advantage late on that bend, was put to a strong hand-ride into upper stretch, came under three pops of a right-handed crop between the eighth-pole and the sixteenth-pole, was put back to a hand-ride into the final sixteenth then eased up in the final strides while much the best. SHIRL'S DELIGHT was restless in the gate, moved out early then was urged along at the rear, went around the turn in the two to three path, turned into upper stretch under the crop and safely secured the place while no match for the winner. MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE broke out and was last of the four to commence, tracked the pace on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, chased in the three then four path on the turn, dropped back while remaining on her inside lead in upper stretch and capitulated. WIMBERLY showed speed then pressed the pace on the outside, dropped back in the two path early on the turn, moved to the rail near the five-sixteenths pole and retreated.
