TOXIC GRAY was hustled to the front then set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied along the rail while asked on the turn, led under a drive into the final sixteenth but was overtaken while able to get the place. SPUN AND WON was hustled from the gate then well placed just off the pace, drafted inside on the turn, was asked inside the quarter-pole, chased behind the leader while still on his left lead in upper stretch, swapped to the proper lead while getting clear room along the rail at the furlong marker, gained to make a bid near the sixteenth-pole and just missed the place while narrowly able to get the show.
