Chart notes
LEWIS BERE (FR) prominent away from the start, stalked the early pace then went up to engage STOREY'S FURY and dueled outside of that rival into the turn, took command and kicked clear at the quarter marker, kept to task into upper stretch then drew off in the final furlong and won in hand as much the best. ATTILA THE STAR tracked the solid early pace from the second flight, chased three to four wide into the turn and was well placed at the quarter pole, was no match for the winner into the stretch drive but stayed on late to be best of the rest. STOREY'S FURY sent to assume early command, engaged LEWIS BERE and dueled inside of that runner into the turn, was outkicked at the quarter marker then ran in pursuit into the stretch, gave way in the final furlong but was a clear third in the end. MIDNIGHT SPLIT tracked the solid early pace from between rivals, chased two to three wide approaching the quarter pole then weakened in the stretch. ABETEMARCO allowed to settle, trailed to the quarter marker then lacked a response in the stretch drive. PINEY BLUFF a step slow away from the start, chased the solid pace while saving ground to the turn, was outrun to the quarter marker then tired in the stretch drive.
