Chart notes
MONTALCINO broke outwardly, showed the way in the two path, cut quick fractions whlie well in hand around the turn, then drew off under moderate urging. DEER DISTRICT tracked along the inside, claimed place from an outer rival at the three sixteenths pole and was second best. LEGALIZE trailed in the two path, surpassed an outer rival in upper stretch, shfited out to the furlong grounds and reeled in a tiring rival for show at the sixteenth pole. LUDWIG raced forwardly along the inside, stalked outside of the leader and from the three path around the turn, chased into the lane and faded. VITEMENT tracked before chasing in the four path around the turn and tired.
