HIGHLANDER HONEY broke well and got forward position along the rail, stalked the pace to the far turn, took over the lead from a tiring rival passing the five-sixteenths pole, responded when set down at the top of the stretch and went clear under steady handling and intermittent urging. TEARDROP TIARA raced mid-pack on the rail to the far turn, rallied under intermittent urging to be second best. MISS ESCAPADE got away from the gate in good order and took up a stalking position just to the outside of ANNA UP through early stages, took over the lead at the five-sixteenths when that rival gave out then lost the lead to HIGHLANDER HONEY before the quarter pole, kept on well, chasing that rival down the stretch then was outfinished by TEARDROP TIARA in the final furlong and surrendered the place. CANDY OAK was not asked for speed from the break, settled mid-pack inside for the run down the backstretch, tipped out to the three path for the stretch run but flattened out and finished evenly. PERCEPTIVE raced three wide well behind the leaders, was kept to task late but could not improve and finished evenly. GOSPEL FREELY lagged through the early running, rallied into the stretch up the rail and improved position without being a serious threat. ANNAMARIA raced near the back part of the tracking group three wide, made a mild bid through the far turn but could not summon the needed response. IZE A BLAST raced four to five wide throughout and lacked a late bid. ANNA UP gained the early lead and took the field to the far turn, gave way passing the five-sixteenths and stopped. GOSPEL EXTRA raced close up three to four wide to the half then hand nothing left.
