Chart notes
SUPER ELLIE tracked in the three path outside a rival, remained three deep to the far turn, took aim two wide into the stretch, latched onto SMILE BABY SMILE at the eighth pole and wore down the runner-up to inch ahead late. SMILE BABY SMILE stalked in the two path to the far turn, challenged from outside with three furlongs remaining, took over and cleared approaching the quarter pole, met the challenge from SUPER ELLIE in the stretch and yielded grudgingly late. DORINE'S WILD CAT sat off the pace two then three wide around the first turn, moved further out on the backstretch, gained four deep then three wide on the far turn and flattened out in the lane. BOLD DAUGHTER broke a step slow, reserved in the early going along the inside, drew closer in the middle stages, lost ground next to the fence on the far turn and faded. PROOF OF JAZZ set the pace along the inside, took pressure past the three-eighths pole, yielded approaching the quarter pole and gave way down the lane. SHEZARUNAWAY unhurried three deep in the beginning, trailed up the backstretch and moved inward, asked near the rail then two wide on the far turn and was never a factor. SHANGHAI MIST tracked near the rail then a bit off the fence on the first turn, exited the backstretch in the two path, drifted out to the five path around the bend, entered the lane four wide and had little left for the drive.
