Chart notes
THAT'S THE WAY stalked the pace through the far turn, rallied along the rail turning for home, was in tight quarters midway down the lane and found his best stride late when given a clear path surging to the lead and outkicking the runner-up. RAISE THE PURSES reserved off the pace for the first half mile, made a steady advance circling the field turning for home and closed well belatedly. DERBY INCLUDED slow early to be the trailer, closed to mid-pack down the backstretch and rallied well from between rivals in the lane to be gaining and take the show spot. STUNT MAN set the pace on a clear lead to the quarter pole, responded when challenged in upper stretch and tired in the final sixteenth. GOLDEN MONEY raced near the rear of the field through the first turn, rallied down the backside to be prominent on the far turn and flattened out in mid-stretch unable to sustain the bid. BISCUITS AND GRITS went evenly. SERENDIPITOUS well placed for the first half tracking the leaders and faded coming home.
