Chart notes
LADY HELENA set the pace in the two path before tucking to the inside leaving the first turn, built a clear advantage down the backstretch, widened her margin under a drive in upper stretch and was put to hand late. FOREIGN TOURIST pursued from midpack two wide and between horses, then along the inside around the far turn, sustained pursuit turning for home, shifted out to the three to four path in upper stretch and ran on to claim place in the final sixteenth. SISTER SAINT broke a beat slow, steadied behind rivals around the first turn to race well back in the two path into the backstretch, swung out to the five path with a quarter mile to go and stayed on to reach show at the wire. PRIZE DEBATE tracked along the inside, advanced to gain place entering the far turn, chased closest to the clear leader turning for home, but proved no match, yielded in the late stages and got nailed for show. MRS. MACOMBER broke a bit outwardly, raced off of the pace three to four wide and lacked a bid. CAPELLA RED was slow into stride, lacked speed in the four path, trailed into and around the far turn, then surpassed a tiring pair late. WEATHER MAP pressed in the three path and between horses early on, failed to sustain pressure and chased the clearing leader from the two path down the backstretch, but weakened between rivals around the far turn. TOOTOO TOURIST stalked in the four to three path, chased between horses around the far turn and weakened.
