Chart notes

BRIAN'S IRON MIKE pursued from midpack two wide and between horses, got subtly floated by an awkward inner rival into the turn, moved out to the four to five path turning for home, entered the lane in the six path, moved out to the seven path in upper stretch, rallied to bid outside of the leader in the final sixteenth and edged ahead. BIG CHOPPER broke a step slow, raced well back in the three to two path, shifted to the six path in upper stretch, rallied between horses into the final furlong, shifted inwardly while surpassing an inner rival at the sixteenth pole, bid inside of the leaders in the late stages but needed more. TUSSLING CHARLIE showed teh way in the two path, built a clear advantage into the turn, shifted out to the six path whlie maintaining that margin in upper stretch, lugged in briefly while flopping back to his left lead at the furlong grounds, then was caught by bidders on either side in the closing stages. MARKS PROMISE broke a beat slow and was brushed by an outer rival at the start, pursued from midpack along the inside whlie getting a bit awkward into the turn, checked behind rivals nearing the lane, sustained rail pursuit while hanging on his left lead, but bumped an outer rival at the sixteenth pole and lacked a bid. HE'S JUST LUCKY brushed an inner foe at the start, laid close up along the inside early on, chased around the turn, moved out to the three path in upper stretch, but lacked progress before being bumped by an inner rival and steadying hard while getting outkicked by an outer shifting foe at the sixteenth pole. SONO raced off of the pace while hung in the five to six path, shifted out to the eight path in upper stretch and made little impact. SASSI D trailed along the inside, swung out to the ten path in upper stretch and failed to factor. BERTIE'S GALAXY tracked in the four path, chased between horses in upper stretch and gave way. MIKE J pressed the leader from the three path, chased into and around the turn but weakened between horses entering the lane. THE RIDER OF HE'S JUST LUCKY CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST THE RUNNER UP ALLEGING INTERFERENCE IN THE FINAL FURLONG, BUT THE OBJECTION WAS DISALLOWED BY THE STEWARDS.
