Chart notes
UNCLE JIM coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand three then two wide getting roused spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, drew clear to the eighth pole, held well and clear to the finish. JERRY'S OUT got bumped at the start by SOBIESKI, who broke inwards, chased four then three wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung four then three wide into upper stretch, ran on to chase the winner home willingly cutting into that foe's margin to the finish while well clear of the rest for the place honors. GIMME GIMME got bumped at the start by STEEL VENGEANCE, who recovered outwards from a stumble, chased four wide under a ride from the three-eighths, went seven wide into upper stretch, improved position to procure the show honors. TAPWRITS TEMPER grew fractious in the gate prior to the start, then bobbled at the break, chased three then two wide under a ride from the three-eighths marker, swung three wide into upper stretch and tired. PUCKISH chased five paths off the inside until tucked inside half a mile from home, came under coaxing midway on the turn, took the inside route into upper stretch and tired. STEEL VENGEANCE stumbled at the start bumping GIMME GIMME, chased just off the inside under urging from the half mile pole, spun two to three wide into upper stretch and tired. MR. SUGAR DADDY chased six then five wide under coaxing from the seven-sixteenths, swung five wide into upper stretch, made no impact. SOBIESKI broke in at the start bumping JERRY'S OUT, chased five then four wide under a ride from three furlongs out, went six wide into upper stretch, faltered in the drive.
