Chart notes
MINDFRAME stalked the pace three wide, seized command near the five-sixteenths marker, shook clear turning for home and held safe under a drive. STEAL SUNSHINE was pinched back at the start, made a beeline for the rail, trailed inside, advanced at the rail around the far turn, swung five wide near the quarter pole and finished strongly to narrow the gap. LIGHTNING TONES was bumped at the start, tracked the pace four wide, bid nearing the quarter pole, could not match strides with the winner in upper stretch but kept on for the show. COUNTERSPY broke outwardly and bumped STEAL SUNSHINE, pressed the pace two wide and weakened a bit in the lane. SHAQ DIESEL had his head turned at the start, raced off the pace two wide, angled six wide in upper stretch and lacked the needed rally. SECRET CHAT had his head turned at the start, raced five wide and never threatened. ENCINO set the pace along the rail and retreated after six furlongs. AWESOME TRAIN chased the pace two wide and was through after a half.
