Chart notes
OSKAR MARTINEZ (IRE) was keen in the early going pulling against the rider's restraint while in front and in the clear, was joined by outside foes up the backstretch, dropped back ceding the lead heading to the far turn and switched out, came into upper stretch three wide, struck the lead at the eighth pole, moved clear, lugged out late and held. NOBLE FACTOR tracked from inside not too far off the leaders, moved out on the far turn, was encouraged along past the five-sixteenths, cane into upper stretch four wide, kept on while being carried out late but was left with too much to do. MAXIMATCH moved forward between foes to prompt the pace early up the backstretch, took a narrow lead then moved clear nearing the three-eighths, weakened in the stretch. TARHE was in tight and steadied early on the first turn, moved nearer the fence, saved ground throughout, ran on evenly. SPECIALAGENTJONSON lacked early speed, advanced some on the far turn racing near the inside, came out in the stretch and kept on one-paced. PHRASEOLOGISM was never near enough to threaten racing off the inside. SHARP PLAY BOY moved forward outside chasing briefly, steadily retreated.
