Chart notes
ZIPPIN GIGI away alertly, the all the pace while getting quick fractions and finished full of run through the stretch to win as much the best under a strong hand ride. STOMPING MOON pressured the winner two wide into the stretch then was no match while gamely second best. DEEP FAITH allowed to settle, had a mild late rally in the six path for a minor share. VENETIAN DREAM well placed near the inside, finished determinedly in the two path. MONTEREY PENINSULA chased the pace three wide into the stretch then lacked the needed response. LAUDA SPEED failed to menace. JARETH was outrun. SMALL SAILOR was no factor.
