Chart notes
DISCREET MISCHIEF tracked from midpack in the two to three path, took aim outside of the embattled leading trio entering the lane, sustained gradual progress to bid reaching the sixteenth pole and wrestled an advantage late. MAP TO THE STARS brushed with an outer rival leaving the gate, dueled for the lead inside of that foe into the turn, then inside of a pair of rivals when a wider presser bid turning for home, battled tenaciously while headed through midstretch, fought on but got outkicked by a deeper challenger in the closing stages and prevailed for place. PINFIRE dueled for the lead two wide, then between horses leaving the three furlong pole, battled gamely through the lane, but was outkicked by an outer bidder late and missed place. AUGUSTA MELODY pressed three wide, bid and joined the battle for the lead outside of the leading pair turning for home, dueled through midstretch but got outkicked by an outer bidder late and subtly yielded between horses. RISK IT hopped slightly and was off slow, trailed along the inside, then surpassed an outer rival while moving to the four to five path in midstretch. SAINT PETER'S BAY pursued from the four path, chased while getting floated to the five path entering the lane and gave way.
