Chart notes
VIEUX CARRE set a pressure pace on the inside and shook clear by the quarter pole, then widened the margin off the bend and then held well to prove best under left handed crop urging. ECLIPTICAL GINA was rated along three wide early, moved out to be five wide by the quarter pole, came widest into the lane and finished well but could not get to the winner while gaining the place. DIAMOND ESSENCE was settled early towards the inside, advanced two to three wide on the turn but had to steady nearing the quarter pole while lacking room, swung out four wide leaving the turn and made a bid but needed more while finishing willingly. BRAMWELL pressed the pace three wide and was ridden along by the quarter pole to try to keep pace and fought on and faded in the final furlong. WICKLOW POOKA tracked the pace two wide and in between rivals and was in tight by the quarter pole and then moved to the inside leaving the turn but weakened in the final furlong. VINO AMORE was reluctant to load, stalked the pace on the outside, four wide on the turn and weakened in the drive. DANCING FOR JACK stumbled at the break and recovered and tracked the pace on the inside and weakened and then was eased in the final furlong, walked off. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
