Chart notes
COMPETITIVE IDEA tracked the early pace from the outside, was well placed while four wide at the quarter marker, responded to urging in the stretch, made a strong rally to take command in the final sixteenth and kicked clear late. THIRSTY sent to assume early command, set a pressured pace to the quarter pole, shook free into the stretch then led to the sixteenth-marker, could not hold off the winner late and held for the place. IMA BLING CAT tracked the early pace while saving ground, tipped out and chased two wide to the quarter pole, finished well along the inside in the final sixteenth and just missed for the place. TIZLIGHTNING chased the early pace from the inside, saved ground into the stretch, battled to the final sixteenth then could not find more in deep stretch. AMERICAN OUTLAW tracked from the second flight, chased three wide to the quarter pole, ran in pursuit four wide into the stretch and failed to threaten late. BYE was forwardly placed while outside of runners early on, went up and pressed the pace three wide heading to the quarter pole, was outkicked in upper stretch and faded through the lane. BART SIP SOME chased the early pace from between runners, lost position along the turn, was floated wide into upper stretch and did not have a late response. DANZ AT COLFAX settled while never far back to begin, was caught in tight entering the turn then took up at the three-eighths pole, swung wide into upper stretch and could not muster the needed late response.
